28th Of May 2008There is no way that this hotel is a 4 star property. The car park is tiny and parking is a nightmare. The hotel is very shabby with wallpaper peeling off the walls and random furniture placed in corridors. The bedroom was possibly the smallest room I have stayed in but with the most amount of furniture possible squeezed into a tiny area and our view was of the air conditioning units. The walls are wafer thin and we had the pleasure of hearing our neighbours bedroom activity in the early hours of the morning. If other guests walk by your room and are talking it sounds as if they are in the room with you.The shower was the worst shower I have ever taken (I have had better facilities when camping!). We had one dirty towel to share between the two of us and more water went on the floor than in the bath. The location is good and handy for walking into the centre but this is the only good point, I would definitely not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. |

Feb. 2008Great location, impressive hotel (and lift!), room was good quality (although shower was a little feeble - very minor niggle). Have paid £85 for a hotel on the outskirts of cambridge, got this for £95 which was pretty good value considering location and the building in general. For the extra £10 to be in Central Cambridge is a no-brainer. Breakfast was good, staff very helpful - would certainly stay again (and recommend). |
